Many people have been reluctant to dream big because they are anxious about how they can accomplish their goals.

True, no dream will become a reality unless you take action. So, how do you do it?

When I first dreamt about climbing Mount Everest, I also daydreamed about a plan. 

I created an Excel spreadsheet with a list of all the skills I need to learn as well as some smaller mountains I need to climb.

With no previous experience in mountaineering or physical training, I had no idea if that plan was even remotely feasible at the time. I didn't know how long it took to learn each skill and improve my fitness level. They were all just daydreams.

As a result, I called the spreadsheet "my dream."

Then I looked at which ability I thought would take the most time to master and decided to begin there. So the following weekend, I signed up for an introduction to rock climbing class with a local guiding company.

Today's 28-minute Lead Generation idea: Write 5 thank you notes

In today's bustling world of e-mails, Facebook, and professionally produced advertising - one of the most overlooked ways to get a lead's attention is to send a handwritten note.

Who can you send a note to?

People who visited an open house. (be SURE you ask for Mailing Address from Open House attendees)

  • A vendor who did a good job.
  • The tech at the nail or hair salon mentioned they might be thinking of buying a home.
  • The FSBO was nice.
  • The Expired who seemed frustrated.

The list is endless.

Send 5 handwritten notes out today and be sure to enclose 2-3 business cards asking people to put those in their wallets to share with others! Do this consistently and you be surprised at what it generates.

Pose an open-ended question on Facebook or Instagram offering a $5-10 gift card (Starbucks works nicely) to a random drawing of everyone that answers the question within X hours. I'd recommend 48 unless you have many many friends.
Post 2 photos side-by-side (get an image service or be the sure image is allowed to reuse if you find online) and ask which of these do you prefer and why. Could be exteriors of houses, kitchens, family rooms, etc. Different styles.
